Frequently Asked Questions!

Our Most Frequently Asked Questions & Important Things You Should Know

What Age Is Right For The Off Leash Training Camp?
Our Off Leash Training camp is designed for dogs that are at least 6 months or older. We want to be sure your dog is mature enough to handle the higher level obedience training that they will receive.

Some dogs may not be ready at 6 months yet, and would benefit from waiting until they are a little bit older. Our goal is always to do the right thing for your dog!
What Do I Need To Bring For The Camp?
In order for your dog to attend our training camps we require a current list of vaccinations to include Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordatella. They will also need enough food to last the entire camp duration. If your dog takes any supplements or medications those will also need to be provided.

We also suggest having a dog bed or elavated cot of some kind for their return home to continue their “place” command. We provide everything else that your dog may need during the duration of the camp and for them to return home including treats and training tools.
What Can I Expect?
Once your dog has completed their camp, we will bring them home to complete a 2 hour in home handoff lesson.

During the lesson we will demonstrate their newly learned skills. Then we will have you practice, and answer any questions you have.

If you have questions or need assistance after they have returned home just call or text us! We truly care about our clients and are always available for continued support!

Dogs are a life long commitment, and we are committed to you as well.

Your dog will also get a bath, ear cleaning, and nail trim for their return home!
Can We Visit?
During their stay we do not offer visitation as we want their undivided attention and not disrupt the training so we can get them home on time! We do post updates on social media once a week!
What Do You Cover In The Camp?
We teach your dog to walk with a loose leash (Heel) , go to their bed on command (Place) , come when called (Come) , Sit, and Down. The word Free is used as our release word, stay or wait is used to for boundaries such as a crate or car door to indicate not to exit or enter, and no is used to mark an incorrect behavior.

We also cover basic manners like not jumping, barking at the door, and any other behaviors that come up during camp.

This of course is a quick overview of the in depth training and will be discussed in detail when we pick up your dog and agin during your 2 hour in home drop off.
Where Do They Stay?
We are happy to say that your dog will live in home with a trainer. They will get real life training in a home environment to prepare them for a successful transition back home with you!
