Important Things You Should Know About Our Puppy Training Camp
Questions And Answers
What Age Is Right For The Behavior Modification Camp?
Every situation is going to be different so we do not have a specified age requirement. If you have concerns of aggression, reactivity, or other behaviors we recommend starting with a Free Phone consultation.
What Do I Need To Bring For The Camp?
We only require you to bring food and shot records. We provide everything else needed during the duration of the camp.
What Can I Expect?
Once your dog has completed their camp, we will bring them home to complete a 2 hour in home handoff lesson. During the lesson we will demonstrate their newly learned skills, have you practice, and answer any questions you have.
Your dog will also get a bath, ear cleaning, and nail trim for their return home!
Behavior modification camps are not always straight forward and may require additional follow up lessons. These lessons are included in the camp pricing. We will go over this in more detail at the start of your camp.
Can We Visit?
During their stay we do not do visitation but we do post pictures and video on Facebook and Instagram!
What Do You Cover In The Camp?
Because each dog will have a different set of needs based on the behaviors they are displaying, the training goals will be thoroughly discussed with you and explained on drop off. Some of the most common behaviors we teach to help with the behavior modification are sit, down, heel, place, and come.
Where Do They Stay?
We are happy to say that your dog will live on site with a trainer. They will get real life in home training to prepare them for a long happy life dog.
How Long Is The Camp?
Each camp will vary depending on your dogs needs. Our camps start out at 4 weeks. On average most cases we handle are between 4-6 weeks and rarely extend to 8 weeks.
We start with the phone consultation and then evaluate in person at the start of the camp to better set your expectations.
